Do you want to learn how to utilize the healing benefits
of essential oils to diminish pain naturally?

During this 3.5-hour Aromatherapy class, we will focus on how utilizing essential oils for pain management can help alleviate both acute and chronic pain. Essential oils affect our human physiology in numerous ways. Learn how systems of the body respond to various oils. We’ll review more specifically how using aromatherapy can impact the pain receptors directly, as well as having indirect actions through the nervous system that influence the body’s overall vital functions for repair. We will examine learn numerous effective ways to apply the appropriate essential oils for different types of pain to different areas of the body for their maximum benefits so these painful areas can be supported while they return back to a balanced state of wellness naturally.

We’ll review more specifically how using aromatherapy and olfaction can impact the immune system directly, as well as having an indirect action through the nervous system and stress related compromises that influence the body’s overall vital function.

You will also learn effective ways to support your health during infections, and how to provide support to the body as it returns back to a balanced state of wellness naturally.

    Course Objectives:
    * Understand the basics of the body’s anatomy and physiology as it pertains to pain and injuries.
    * How to identify various types of pain, so as to support the body’s natural healing functions and processes for managing pain.
    * Understand how to holistically implement natural essential oil pain therapies while supporting one’s overall health.
    * Learn about proper dilutions, suitable oils and the best carrier oils to use to nourish, protect and bring balance to numerous areas and types of pain.
    * Enhance your knowledge about the psychological assessment of discomfort for a holistic approach to causes of pain as an additional avenue for easing discomfort.

After receiving her B.S. degree in Botany from the University of Florida, Cary Caster, LMT, CA studied Aromatherapy in the UK, where it is still practiced as a medical treatment. She then earned her certification as an Advanced Clinical Aromatherapist with Rhiannon Harris of Essential Oil Resource Consultants in France. Cary received her Massage License from the Florida College of Natural Health and is a former board member of the Alliance of International Aromatherapists.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations must be received in writing no later than two weeks before the start date of the course to be eligible for a refund, less a 10% of full registration price cancellation fee. Cancellations received less than two weeks prior to the start date of the course but 72 hours before the start of the course are eligible for a refund, less 20% of the full registration price. Failure to appear at the program with no written cancellation 72 hours prior to the program will result in complete forfeiture of the registration fee and course will not count toward continuing education credits (nonrefundable, nontransferable, no exceptions). Registrations are non-transferable. Cancellation requests must be received in writing by email to UM Osher will reply with a written acknowledgement.

Continuing Education Credit (CEU): This conference has been planned and implemented in accordance with the essential areas and policies of the Florida Board of Nursing for Continuing Education Provider #50-2105.

Credit Designation: 3.5 CEU’s have been approved by the University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies.

3.5 Continuing Education Units have been approved for the Florida Boards of Acupuncture, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, the Florida Council of Licensed Midwifery, Physical Therapy Practice, and the Florida Council of Dietetics and Nutrition.
